The starting capital of the Foundation, which was founded in 2000, was mainly provided by the “Christliche Teppichgenossenschaft“ (Christian carpet cooperative) CTG.
Since then, the Foundation has relied solely on donations for financing educational projects.
The running costs per month for a village school with about 60 children is approximately 500.- Swiss Francs. This means a child’s school attendance for a whole year can be paid with only a CHF 100.- donation. For the boarding school in Gujranwala, the cost of tuition, accommodation, food and care are an estimated CHF 50.- per child and month.
Therefore, even small donations have a sustainable impact and contribute to enhancing career opportunities and future prospects of many children from poor families.
